Hello, and welcome back to The Action Cookbook Newsletter.
It's been one heck of a busy week around the Cookbook Estate. The calendar might not flip over to August until tomorrow, but we're already deep into back-to-school mode here. Classes start next week for both of my kids, an avalanche of activities is sure to follow. Before long, I'll be in the thick of drop-offs and pick-ups and shuttlings about town, all the while telling myself that after this week, things should settle down.

I'm back from a brief summer break, and though the shadow of the new school year looms, I'm clinging to relaxation mode as long as I can.
